The Gastornis, a prehistoric flightless bird, is known for its unique method of courtship much like today's Bower Bird. Flaunting creativity, the male Gastornis collects shiny objects, twigs, feathers and colorful ribbons to decorate the nest and attract a mate. This artist image of the Gastornis shines its orange faceted eye toward a prospective mate. It is made of bronze and silver metal clay and hangs from a chain on a piece of weathered wood. When the 18" chain is removed you will find more shiny trinkets and feathers for the nest. This Gastornis Talisman protects the wearer and the nest!
