While climbing out of Grand Canyon from Phantom Ranch, I spotted this baby bighorn sheep on the Bright Angel trail directly in front of us. Mama sheep was on the next switchback above us, kicking rocks onto the trail below to get baby bighorn's attention. When baby bighorn turned its head, I snapped the picture and ran as fast as possible while mama bighorn started her ascent down the trail to retrieve her wayward youngster.
